Adobe Commerce: New Features
Did you know Adobe rebranded Magento Commerce in April? The paid Magento version now goes by the “Adobe Commerce”,, and this is only the beginning.
The American company has added new eCommerce features to increase conversion rates and make people smile (oh, yes!). Many Magento owners are now smiling.
These features are what you need to make your business more successful. Let’s get started!
Live Search is now available. Adobe announced its plans for the product search update at the end of last calendar year. The company has finally fulfilled its promise.
This updated search feature combines Adobe Sensei Artificial Intelligence and real-time data. Customers will receive personalized search results thanks to the solution. Artificial intelligence makes search-as you-type results smarter over time, which improves the customer journey for online shoppers.
Magento store owners can download the extension for free.
Recommendations for Product
Another update is Product Recommendations. This new feature allows you to recommend products based on buyer buying behavior and area of focus. Configure settings to allow your customers to receive product recommendations based upon one of these factors:
- The most viewed
- Most bought
- Add most to cart
- Recommendations for you
- Views that are similar to this
- This was viewed, and that is what I bought
- This was the product I bought.
- This is more
- Visual similarity
This would be especially useful for SAAS and B2B companies who aim to offer different buying scenarios to their customers. B2C customers can also benefit from new features in upselling and cross selling strategies.
Future Adobe Plans
Adobe also shared plans for future integration between Adobe Commerce, Adobe Sign and Adobe Sign during the second half this year. These new features will make it easier for store owners to apply for capital loans and simplify the paperwork.

Magento Security Update
Both Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce received a security update in May. Merchants now have more peace of mind and can rest easier at night knowing that there is no chance that their store could be hacked.
This update disallows the copy feature for critical fields on frontend such as credit card input fields. It stops malware from reading data from the clipboard, and then sending it to remote hackers.

Adobe & Zip Partnership
Adobe has partnered with Zip, an Australian company that provides Buy Now-Pay Later services. This partnership is great news for Magento merchants as it allows them to offer flexible payment options to their customers.
Imagine a scenario where a customer adds an item into the cart and goes to checkout, but hesitates to click on the “Buy” button. This could be due to a lack of trust in the brand, tight budget or “my wife’s going to kill me” reasons.
Zip allows customers to pay for products in small amounts and over a time period. This service is beneficial for merchants as it allows for smooth cash flow and increases order value. It also encourages repeat customers.
The Zip extension is available in Magento Marketplace if you are interested.
MailChimp Enters eCommerce
MailChimp, the ‘big’ player in marketing services, has stopped marketing exclusively. American company decided to create its own eCommerce platform.
That makes perfect sense!
40% of their customers are online, so moving from SaaS to PaaS (Software As A Service), may prove smart. Their customers almost all have an existing eCommerce platform. The odds are, however, that very few companies want to face the platform migration challenges.
MailChimp should know better, so let’s all wish them success on their eCommerce journey.
